Ahn Ki Nam Charitable Foundation began with a quiet hope for healing, one rooted in my journey as a Korean adoptee shaped by early separation, trauma, and a longing for connection. As a child, I left behind family, language, and culture, entering a world where my identity felt invisible.
Reconnecting with Korea through art and food awakened memories I thought I had lost and reminded me that heritage endures within us. Years later, a heartfelt bond with a Korean “unni” showed me how one relationship can restore a sense of family and invite us home again.
Through this foundation, I extend these bridges to Korean adoptees searching for belonging, creating space for shared stories, creative expression, and lasting connection. Here, empathy, art, and culture illuminate the path back to ourselves.
